Instructions
For the crust
  1. Mix all ingredients to make a dough and roll out the pie.
  2. Lay it down on the pie dish, press well around the base and trim the extra dough.
  3. Bake in a preheated oven for 25-30 minutes
For the Filling
  1. Make sugar syrup by mixing sugar and water.
  2. Stew the apples in the syrup with a little lemon juice.
  3. Place the stewed apples on the tart in a circle
  4. Thicken the balance syrup and add jam/honey & pour over the apples.
  5. Sprinkle the clove and cinnamon powder over the tart and bake again for 10-12 minutes.
Recipe Notes
  • Don't slice the apples too thin or they will break / crumble when stewed.
