Ingredients
For the Crust
- 100 gm flour
- 50 gm cornflour
- 75 gm granulated sugar
- 100 gm butter
For the filling
- 2 no apples thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp honey / jam
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 pinch clove powder
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder

Instructions
For the crust
- Mix all ingredients to make a dough and roll out the pie.
- Lay it down on the pie dish, press well around the base and trim the extra dough.
- Bake in a preheated oven for 25-30 minutes
For the Filling
- Make sugar syrup by mixing sugar and water.
- Stew the apples in the syrup with a little lemon juice.
- Place the stewed apples on the tart in a circle
- Thicken the balance syrup and add jam/honey & pour over the apples.
- Sprinkle the clove and cinnamon powder over the tart and bake again for 10-12 minutes.
Recipe Notes
- Don't slice the apples too thin or they will break / crumble when stewed.
