Apple Cinnamon Pie or Tart
For the Crust

For the crust
Mix all ingredients to make a dough and roll out the pie.
Lay it down on the pie dish, press well around the base and trim the extra dough.
Bake in a preheated oven for 25-30 minutes
For the Filling
Make sugar syrup by mixing sugar and water.
Stew the apples in the syrup with a little lemon juice.
Place the stewed apples on the tart in a circle
Thicken the balance syrup and add jam/honey & pour over the apples.
Sprinkle the clove and cinnamon powder over the tart and bake again for 10-12 minutes.
Don’t slice the apples too thin or they will break / crumble when stewed.
