Christmas Cake
  1. Chop the dry fruits and raisins.
  2. Soak in brandy atleast 24 hours in advance.
  3. Sieve the flour with baking powder and other powdered spices.
  4. Beat the fat with sugar till smooth and fluffy.
  5. To the above, add well beaten eggs.
  6. Caramelise 100 gms of sugar and 1/4 cup of water to get a brown syrup.
  7. To the fat, sugar and egg mixture, add the flour and caramel syrup.
  8. Add nuts and pour into a mould lined with greased paper and cook at 150 degree C or 2-3 hours till done.
